I just have a love for blue sapphire. It is one of my favorite stones, and I don't have a September birthday ... I love the color! So when I saw the earrings on the right, I knew right away that I wanted to feature them ...
The faceted sapphire beads look amazing with the gold filled components Wanda paired them with. Gold gives blue sapphire a truly luxurious, rich tone. This artisan made the ear wires too, so these dangles are unique!
well loved combination is turquoise and sterling silver. On the left side is a turquoise necklace made by Wanda.
This is a great example of a necklace that is made to showcase these colorful gemstone beads; all the emphasis and attention is on the turquoise here.
A turquoise necklace like this is usually a very well worn, everyday piece. The type of necklace that is spectacular enough to accent a fabulous blue dress, but just as effective and pretty worn with casual clothing, like jeans and a nice blue sweater, or even on a black tee!
Peridot is gemstone grade olivine. The color can range from a bright spring green to a deep earthy olive color; bright and lively stones the color of the necklace on the right are more popular and can be moderately expensive in larger sized faceted gems.
Browsing through GemstonesOnMyMind will turn up other Peridot items as well! There are several nice pair of peridot earrings offered by this artisan; I really like this pair.
And of course if you love red, nothing comes close to ruby. This is a gemstone that can only be called that name if it is truly red. If the shade is too light, the correct name is pink sapphire. If it runs into violet, it is a purple sapphire.
Just look at the rich, saturated red color of the ruby beads in the earrings shown in the picture on the left. They're certainly a vivid, bright red - fabulous ruby earrings. You don't have to be born in July to love ruby!
So take some time today to visit Wanda at GemstonesOnMyMind. You'll love this cool shop!
