Exciting things happening!

Our team members have been having a wonderful summer so far! Some have been enjoying the outdoors, going to the beach with our families. Others have been traveling to far away lands. Still others have been hard at work, selling loads of pretties at local art fairs. Our blog has been busy too. Behind the scenes, we are gearing up for a whole bunch of fun new posts. In the coming weeks, we'll be getting to know our members on a more personal level, behind the bling. We will have a variety of posts highlighting our jewelry, artist interviews, more team challenges, and lots more! We'll feature some of our favorite materials to work with, and hopefully, even have some tutorials on learning new techniques. We'll have lots of gift giving ideas, and who knows, maybe a few giveaways! Now who doesn't love that?! I've always been so proud to be a member of this team and have enjoyed the diversity of its members along with the whacky humor that swirls around our chats like, well, a JET engine! So I hope you'll stop back and see what's new and exciting from the Jewelry on Etsy Team! In the meantime, you can find plenty of stunning jewelry by typing JETTEAM in the little search box on Etsy's homepage.

Dashery Jewelry on Etsy -
Handmade Jewelry

Today's Jet of the Day is Dashery Jewelry! This artisan jeweler creates beautiful necklaces, bracelets, earrings and more with silver wire and gemstones, using wire wrapping and chainmaille techniques. Her jewelry is classic in style and quite attractive; there are items here for men as well as women; the quality and workmanship are top-notch. This handmade jewelry silver and blue chalcedony necklacecan be worn for a lifetime and with care, it will look great for generations! The first piece I'm featuring is the pretty necklace you see on the left. The Aries Necklace in Blue Chalcedony and Sterling Silver is a beautiful wire wrapped creation you'll be happy to add to your jewelry collection - pretty and feminine, with soft blue chalcedony this necklace could easily become one of your favorite pieces of jewelry. It could be yours - for just $85.00! silver chainmaille ringNext up we've got a silver chainmaille ring! This ring can be worn by both sexes ... men like them too! Lorian makes these rings completely by hand from silver wire links, and you'll love the silky smooth feel of this weave. At one time this technique was used to make body armor for protection in war; today we appreciate this skill for the artform it truly is. Chainmaille can be made in many styles; this traditional pattern is not just beautiful; its a well made ring you'll enjoy wearing daily. You can have one made for you - in your size - for $35.00. tiny sterling silver and emerald earringsHere's a pretty pair of earrings from this jewelry designer! These are petite in size - 7/8" top to bottom. They sure pack a lot of style and color into a small package! If you love emeralds, these could be for you ... the Tiny Key and Emerald Earrings in Sterling Silver are a really cute pair of dangles that will accent your wardrobe in a beautiful way every time you put them on! Carefully wrapped in gleaming sterling silver wire, the emerald briolettes are a nice green color; and the tiny keys are a lovely design element that really add a nice touch to these dangles. Order them today and you could be wearing them soon ... just $16.00! silver chainmaille braceletThe last piece I'm featuring today is a bracelet. This is another chainmaille piece; the weave is called Queen's maille, but any man would be happy with a nice heavy silver bracelet like this one! Lorian made this in a "plus-size" so its larger than a standard length; but because its a thick chain it will fit up to a 7 1/4" size wrist. The chain is 6mm wide - about 1/4"; because its square, it is just as thick as it is wide. This is not your standard silver chain - you won't find an Italian silver version at your local flea market; that's for sure! This awesome Sterling Silver Queen Chain Maille Square Mail Plus Size Bracelet with Toggle Clasp could be on YOUR wrist - for the amazingly low bargain price of only $99.00! Visit Dashery Jewelry and have a look around. You'll love this artisan's style! Handmade silver chainmaille jewelry and handcrafted gemstone jewelry makes a great gift, so treat a friend - or yourself - today!

cserpentDesigns -
Handmade Artisan Jewelry

Today I have four very different artisan jewellery pieces created by cSerpentDesigns to share with you! These are all handcrafted using totally different processes and techniques, and this post will illustrate how this Jet member has multiple talents when it comes to her art! I write these posts almost every day and am always amazed by the diverse jewelry offerings Jet members have for sale. Susan, the artisan who makes the jewelry at cSerpentDesigns has an amazing selection of handmade jewelry and gifts in her shop! This first pair of earrings are a 2 layered design made with anodized aluminum and Argentium silver. Aluminum can take on a rainbow of colors when anodized. Susan made it green ... then used handmade silver rivets to attach the anodized aluminum to the Argentium sterling silver sheet. Susan's Limey Rivets - Argentium Silver Earrings are fabulous! The ear wires are also handmade from Argentium silver wire. These unique earrings are truly one of a kind; they could be yours for only $31.00! These Hammered Argentium silver and malachite-azurite earrings are awesome! I love the texture ... hammered squares instead of the usual hammer texture make these quite different. Susan gave them a slight dome, so they have an added dimension; they aren't simply flat. The malachite-azurite cabs are very pretty; this copper bearing gemstone has a beautiful blue and green color pattern. Even the ear wires are handmade! This is a well made pair of handcrafted gemstone and silver earrings you'll love to wear. They can be yours - just $85.00! Here's a bracelet this artisan made with glass cane beads! This piece features beads made by a glass artist Susan knows personally; she watched the beads being made! They've been combined here with sterling silver beaded spacers and black rubber tube ... This fantastic furnace glass bracelet was made on memory wire, so its pretty much adjustable to fit almost any wrist. If you like purple, the Purple Wrap - Artisan furnace glass and sterling silver bracelet could be your new favorite. Have this beautiful bracelet shipped right to your home - for the bargain price of only $45.00! The fourth piece today is made of pure copper with some bright blue turquoise rondelles! The Copper Leaf - copper and turquoise necklace features a pendant that is a unique design you'll never see anywhere else. It was made by the artisan with the newly developed copper metal clay! This revolutionary new "clay" allows the artisan freedom to design just about anything imaginable and produce it in pure copper. This pendant was hand formed, textured and slightly oxidized. The bright blue turquoise adds nice contrast! It could be yours for $45.00! Four artisan jewelry pieces ... all beautiful, each made in a different way. Susan is a very talented artist, and I know you'll like the other 100+ jewelry and gift items in her shop! So take a few minutes to visit cSerpentDesigns today! You'll be very happy with the selection, the quality and the prices. Remember to bookmark cSerpentDesigns ... this is a really great place to shop! CrystalImpressions - Elegant Jewelry by Lucia Williamson

Today we're wandering through Crystal Impressions - a fabulous Etsy shop full of beautiful handcrafted jewelry! Lucia Williamson is the jewelry designer behind the scenes at this shop, and this artisan loves what she does ... you can tell just by looking at the jewelry she makes. These pretty baubles are carefully designed and constructed. Lucia likes to use top quality gemstones and other components in her jewelry, combining different but complimentary colors, textures and materials to create her one of a kind necklaces, bracelets, earrings and wedding jewelry. First we're going to look at the necklace you see on the left. The April Wine Necklace is made with sparkling golden citrine nuggets, citrine ovals, garnets, aventurine, pink tourmaline and sterling silver. This glittering gemstone necklace is perfect for a night out, a formal occasion or any special celebration. This is a unique, one of a kind piece that won't be duplicated. Lucia likes every piece she makes to be an exclusive design; you'll never see this necklace anywhere but here, and once its gone ... there won't be another made the same way. A bargain at $148.00! I've always loved lapis lazuli. Great quality lapis is deep blue with pyrite inclusions, and thats what you're getting in this necklace! Lucia made this Starry Night Necklace with 8mm round lapis lazuli beads, a 12mm vermeil focal bead, vermeil spacers and a vermeil S clasp. (Vermeil is gold over sterling silver). This necklace is 16.5" long, a really nice length made to nestle the base of the neck. This lovely piece is listed at only $98.00! Pretty bright green peridot is a really good match with the gold filled wire used to make these earrings. These glittering green briolettes are faceted and are 7-8mm wide. The Apple Of My Eye Earrings are made with 14kt gold filled components and natural peridot briolettes. This bright green gemstone is the birthstone for August; these versatile dangles will go perfectly with casual or business type clothing. These could be your new earrings - just $32.00! I've chosen a bold, rich red ruby and pearl necklace as the last example today, and it really is an eye catching piece. The Ruby Rose Necklace was made with beautiful cranberry color freshwater pearls, fabulous faceted ruby rondelles, and sparkling sterling silver beads and clasp. This 18" strand is not really an every day necklace, but is one of those special pieces you love to put on when the time is appropriate. Totally luxurious in decadent red ... only $95.00! Crystal Impressions is the kind of shop you want to bookmark and check in often. Because all of Lucia's jewelry is unique, styles come and go here and you might miss your only chance to own one of her fantastic handmade jewelry designs. Once they're gone, so is your opportunity!

Eclectic Handmade Jewelry by cooljewelrydesign

A new week ... and a new Jet of the Day for Monday! Today we're visiting cooljewelrydesign, and I found some new handmade jewelry to put under the spotlight ... starting with this fabulous pair of earrings! I just love what Pam - the jewelry designer and owner of the shop - did with the earwires. She turned wire and beads into graceful, flowing, beautiful contemporary art you can wear! These handmade earrings are fantastic in so many ways ... and they'll get lots of compliments! These sky blue artisan handmade dangle earrings are made with lovely faceted blue quartz beads and sterling silver components. The ear wire design was hand made by the artist; these are unique! The faceted quartz bead dangles 1 1/4" below the ear wire. These are a nice length without being really big. A great deal at just $23.00! The bracelets section at cooljewelrydesign is outstanding, and its where you'll see this artisan's eclectic designs displayed in all their glory! Some are more "mixed up" than others, but they all work! This pretty pastel colors Czech glass and silver wrapped heart bracelet is a good example of mildly eclectic .... the colors are different. The heart and toggle are sterling silver; the Czech glass is transparent and faceted on both sides. The heart has a beautiful embossed floral design. The toggle is a pretty Bali style scroll and swirl design. There are two smaller glass beads at the end to allow for the use of the toggle clasp. This truly fabulous bracelet is $39.00! I love this piece for two reasons. The first is because ... well, I just do. Second ... this is a great example of eclectic design at its best. Color, materials, textures ... all are thrown into a glorious tossed salad to create this eclectic bracelet. From the faceted citrine rondelles to the Boro lampwork beads, the teal and yellow / orange / brown tones just stand out in this fantastic bracelet. Citrine, carnelian, agate, amazonite, peach aventurine and kyanite; Boro glass and a silver toggle. All yours for $89.00! This piece is a necklace. If you like dichroic glass, you'll love this one ... the black dichroic glass, silver and orange bead necklace you see in the picture to the right features black glass triangle beads along its length with dichroic glass spots on them. The triangles alternate with sections made with tangerine color AB crystal beads, antiqued sterling silver spacers and tiny burgundy Czech glass beads. This necklace is made with a Bali style silver toggle; just $65.00! Stop by cooljewelrydesign today. Be sure to add this shop to your bookmarks; this shop is a place you'll want to visit again. This artisan adds new handmade jewelry designs often! Robert Edwards is a proud member of the Jewelry on Etsy Team - JET. Brooke Scarborough's Beautiful
Handcrafted Jewelry Designs

Brooke Scarborough is a metalsmith who prefers to work in silver. Her pieces are quite traditional in many ways, but absolutely original in design. She is a true artisan jeweler; the pieces I am going to showcase here are entirely handmade - with no cast components. This handcrafted silver jewelry is completely fabricated; made from silver sheet and wire. agate ringThe truly amazing thing is this talented artisan is just beginning to polish her skills. As time goes on, Brooke will add more to her shop; right now, you'll find a few dozen pieces; mostly necklaces, earrings and bracelets. The gorgeous Fist Full of Flowers Ring you see on the left was entirely made by this artisan. Even the details like the flowers and leaves are handmade. In this picture you can see the ring shank is a wavy - edged, stamped and pierced band; the stone is a moss agate, and is quite pretty. The inside has a pretty floral design imprinted into the silver. This ring is a well made, very substantial piece of jewelry and it could be worn for generations. It will fit a size 7 1/4 comfortably. This ring is $135.00. agate pendantThe next three items I am spotlighting here are pendant necklaces. These pieces are completely handmade, and they feature fabulous quality stones! The incredible Horse Canyon Agate Pendant Necklace you see to the right is a really cool piece. The backing sheet is textured; the off center but symmetrical design adds individuality and interest to the piece. The circles in opposing corners give it balance, while allowing more of the patterned sheet to be visible. The curved arch for the bail at the top is a great touch. The stone is great ... the color and pattern really can't be seen here. Agates like this have translucent and opaque areas that make them interesting gems. The pendant arrives ready to wear on an 18" chain; only $120.00. plume agate pendantThis next pendant also features agate, but a different variety. Brooke made this Plume Agate, Sterling Silver, and 14 Karat Gold Pendant Necklace in a way that really shows off the beauty of this fabulous stone. You can clearly see the translucent areas of this agate; this gives the gem a deep, almost 3D look within the stone. This piece is accented beautifully by silver and 14k gold balls around the sides; the back of the silver sheet behind the stone is imprinted with a lovely floral design. This pendant is a very special piece, and it would be a fantastic gift! It will arrive ready to wear on a 17" silver chain that can be extended to 18.5". Order it today, and it could be on its way to you for just $169.00! labradorite pendantOne more today ... this last pendant necklace features iridescent labradorite in a gallery wire setting. The stone is backed by silver sheet with a floral imprint on the front. The gallery wire bezel is almost like a prong setting; it holds the pretty labradorite gemstone securely. Brooke added handmade silver beads above and below the setting to accent the stone; on the back - not shown - is a freeform Yin-Yang design. Labradorite is a feldspar; it has bright blue flashes, and although different is often compared to moonstone. The extender chain has a labradorite dangle; it arrives on a 17" silver chain that extends to 18". This labradorite necklace will be noticed; its yours for only $139.00! Take some time out today to visit Brooke's shop, where you'll find her entire collection of beautiful handmade jewelry. Keep your eye on this new jewelry artisan's shop by adding it to your favorites. Brooke is adding new items as she makes them, and you don't want to miss out!
