Jet of the Day: CSerpent Designs

Our celebrated JOD today is Susan, of CSerpent Designs. Susan is lucky enough to live in one of the loveliest areas of our country, San Diego, CA.  Her handmade jewelry collection reflects all of the natural beauty of her surroundings.

Aqua Waters- Kazuri, Amazonite and Sterling Silver Bracelet (Kazuri beads are made by men and women in Kenya who are given fair wages to help them out of poverty. Kazuri Beads is a member of the Fair Trade Federation. They use wonderful earthy and bright colors.

Susan is one of those women who sees something and says, "Hey I can do that", and this is how she began her jewelery making career. It was not long before she was selling her jewelry in a fancy La Jolla boutique.

Susan has learned that using the highest quality components only adds to the beauty and longevity of her handmade jewelry and so she uses nothing less. Sterling silver and gold-filled findings; Swarovski crystals and artisan lampwork beads; and precious and semi-precious gemstones. She is happy to do  custom orders and all purchases are eligible for free resizing.

It sounds to me that Susan has has an affliction that many of us share. The love of buying beads and stones and pretty baubles to design and create with. She is especially afflicted with  buying lampwork beads. According to Susan, her  "inventory" has grown quite large so we can expect  to see lots  more beautiful handmade necklaces, earrings soon.

Susan inherited her bead affliction from her mother, who also makes jewelry!
