Jet of the Day - Jewelry24Seven

Hi! I'm Bob of Jewelry24Seven, today's Jet of the Day. I'm here to tell you a bit about Jewelry24Seven, and what we do - a bit about the jewelry we create. My partner Terry and I are artisan jewelers, and we make beautiful necklaces, bracelets, earrings and more with copper, silver, gold, metal clay and gemstones, using time honored wire wrapping , metal working and chainmaille techniques. The jewelry is generally classic in style, although we both do have our "out there" pieces.We try to make some items that will appeal to men as well as women. The quality of the components and gemstones in our jewelry is the best we can find. This handmade jewelry can be worn for a lifetime and with care, it will look great for generations!

The first piece I'm featuring is the pretty necklace you see on the left. The Gemstone and Sterling Silver Necklace is a beautiful mixed gemstone necklace that was made as our entry for the JET Team Spring Challenge. This piece features blue topaz, amethyst, peridot and citrine, in the necklace and on the pendant. This necklace was made by both of us as a team effort - Terry made the necklace and did the final assembly; I made the focal pendant. Here's a ring that was designed and made by me. I constructed this ring to showcase a large oval black Sardonyx cabochon set in a double bezel. The ring is very solid and substantial! The gallery wire decorated bezel gives this ring a very distinctive look you won't see just anywhere and the fabulous black sardonyx cab has great angular patterns running through it, ensuring a unique piece of jewelry that will stand out every time you wear it. The last piece I'm featuring today is a pair of earrings.

These pretty silver hoop earrings were assembled by Terry. My partner Terry is a very talented jewelry maker! She made the woven silver tubes decorating these hoop earrings from sterling silver wire. This weave is called Viking Knit; the technique is thousands of years old. Viking Knit has become one of those "forgotten arts" people have been re-discovering lately.
