What do you do with all your beach glass if you are lucky enough to live in Maine and have an unending local supply? Well, you whip out your hammer and torch and get busy. This is what Ida has done, quite adroitly.  OK, so I looked it up. Adroit means skillful, resourceful and clever in the task at hand; or nimble with the hands. Ida is a long time adroit crafter and can work any material into a useful and beautiful product.

Ida's store is so beautiful but you must take your time shopping there. Mixed in with the fantastic handmade earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings are smartly designed, very useful items like this money clip and the convenient eyeglass holder

Try to find non-pierced modern earrings. It is almost impossible. Ida has designed several styles. These versatile "Slip on" hoops  with changeable baubles are my favorite. I am a hoop-fanatic and these look great and just do not fall off your ear.  They are simple, yet elegant. I would like a pair to wear in addition to my pierced earrings! Oh, she sells those too, of course.
