Sunday Style - Easter Egg Colors

Welcome to another edition of Sunday Style with the JET Team! Today’s inspiration is the colors of Easter Eggs, and the celebration of spring that these colors bring to mind.

I remember dyeing Easter eggs as a kid, with my little sister and our three cousins. We had mugs full of beautiful colors- blue, green, orange, red, yellow.

They all smelled of vinegar and crayons - it’s a very specific smell! I loved writing patterns on the eggs with the crayons and then dunking them into that stinky colored water. I was impatient, so I always took them out too soon so they were light pastel colors. These are the colors we will feature today.

Let’s start with a beautiful pale blue. I love this faded denim blue linen maxi dress (1) from azulsol. This linen dress may be a little chilly for right now, so I’d add a shawl or the lovely hand painted silk scarf (2) from FantasticPheasant. A chunky stretch bracelet (3) in light blue pearls, silver beads, and sparkly crystals from RoughMagicCreations adds just the right touch of sophistication.

A beautiful but somewhat sensible shoe is a great way to go with this outfit. Try ADIKLAV’s blue leather sandals (4) with buckle detail. They would look great with a heart anklet (5) from DesignsbyCher.

Minty green and lilac combine together in a fresh, springy way. Start with FleetCollection’s mint dress (8) with pockets - I really do love a dress with pockets! Plus, this dress also has a flattering full skirt with delicate ivory crochet details.

Add a cute lilac bow belt (9) from StaghoundLeather at the waist. Since it is Easter, you have to have a hat! The mint green hat with feathers (10) from BeChicAccessories is a perfect choice. Add BellaVeaJewelry’s flower dangle earrings (11) with aqua chalcedony and purple Swarovski crystals. Pop on a pair of fun hand painted heels (12) from kezbirdie, and pick up an oversized oversize clutch (13) in a beautiful watercolor print by DavieAndChiyo607.

Now to pink! As a little girl I didn’t like pink. That may be an understatement. I hated pink. I wanted nothing to do with it, or anything else girly. But I’ve grown up, and really like it now. The next outfit has some edge but I think that the girly color makes it wearable for a lot of people. I imagine this outfit going to one of those posh summer festivals.

The base is a pair of pink wide leg crop pants (14) from LeMoutonBleuShop. The high waist on the trousers means that you can wear a shorter top without showing too much skin. ElizaAshBoutique offers a super cute crochet lace crop top (15) with lovely flowery trim. Accent the outfit with ErinAustin’s geometric pale pink quartz silver earrings (16) and a bicycle chain and pink shell necklace (17) from WanderingJeweler. Give yourself a little lift with ARVISHA’s wedge shoes (18) in cream leather. Add the cross body bag (19) from ao3designs, with its graphic geometric pattern in navy, cream, and pink - and you’ll be ready for anything!

Have a wonderful Easter, and see you next week!
